WH SeniorLink / Clio

March 2020 - May 15th, 2022

As of May 15th, 2022 Clio is no longer providing services to the community and all of our programs have been discontinued. We have had the honor of partnering with the New York City Department for the Aging (DFTA) to transfer those in our program to their friendly calling program. If you are interested in being connected with the DFTA friendly calling program as a participant or a volunteer, or you want more information about resources, please call the Aging Connect Line at 212-Aging-NYC (212-244-6469).

Clio’s Story

At the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, WH SeniorLink began as a program to connect community members living in the Washington Heights neighborhood in New York City. After nearly two years of service and a name change, Clio has served 73 older adults in our programming, engaged 89 volunteers, and supported 19 interns who shared over 2200 calls, 64 care packages, and 137 letters.

Community Resources

As our service to the community ends, we want to ensure that we create a space to learn about additional community resources.

Gratitude for Our Community

In our two years of service, we had the honor of working with incredible members of our community who participated in our programs, volunteered or interned with us, or worked at one of the many organizations who serve older adults in New York City. Additionally, we have been so grateful for the wider support from community members who attended events, learned with us, taught us, and of course, donated to our organization. Without each and every person who has been in our community, we would have been able to do this wonderful work and connect so many people with companionship during such a difficult time. Thank you to our outstanding community for making Clio possible!
